International Baccalaureate (hereinafter ‘IB’) – an exam whose passing is confirmed by the IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma, issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva;

European Baccalaureate (hereinafter ‘the Baccalaureate EB’) – an exam whose passing is confirmed by the EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma, issued by the European Schools in accordance with the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools done in Luxembourg on June 21, 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2005 No. 3, item 10);

c) The result of the EB exam in a given subject taken at the advanced level expressed on a numeric scale from 1 to 10 will be converted into points according to the principle:
[result of EB exam/10] x 30 = number of MUG recruitment points;
d) The result of the EB exam in a given subject taken at the basic level expressed on a numeric scale from 1 to 10 will be converted into points according to the principle:
[result of EB Matura / 10] x 18 = number of MUG recruitment points;
The IB and EB diplomas do not require nostrification in Poland.
Recruitment points separatly for each subject will be entered into the ERK system by employees of the MUG Admission Office.
Exactly the same numer of points will be given as replacement of each subject from entrance exam and will be entered into the ERK system by employees of the MUG Admission Office.
Example 1: Biology HL 6 ; Chemistry HL 5 25.7 (points HS) + 25.7 (replacement biology from entrance exam) + 21.4 (points HS) + 21.4 (replacement chemistry from entrance exam) = 94.2 This candidate qualified for interview
Example 2: Biology HL 3 ; Chemistry HL 5 12.9 (points HS) + 12.9 (replacement biology from entrance exam) + 21.4 (points HS)+ 21.4 (replacement chemistry from entrance exam) = 68.6 This candidate not qualified for interview, because even max points – 10 from interview will give final score 78.6 which is below for minimal treshhold (91 points – admission; 90-88 waiting list). Candidate may decide to take a written exam to improve.
A person with an IB diploma does not need to provide any additional English language certification.
STEP IV: Submit the application form with all other documents to the University Admissions Office ot to the proper recruitment company.
After the acceptance an oryginal IB diploma has to reach Admission Office for verification (candidate does not need to provide any additional Apostille or consular authorisation).
STEP V: After acceptance
Transfer payment for Orientation Week fee and Course fee goes to your individual account number (given at the top of your application form). Document with the condition of acceptance and deadline of payment will be present in the candidates database – application form – “Printouts”
Candidates holding the international high school diploma (the ‘IB’) and those holding the European Baccalaureate diploma (the ‘EB’) who apply for admission to the field of medicine are obliged to have passed their matriculation examination in biology, advanced level (HL), and one of the following courses of their choice: chemistry, physics, or mathematics, also at the advanced level (HL); moreover, they are required to take a qualification interview in the English language. Candidates holding the ‘IB’ international high school diploma or the ‘EB’ European Baccalaureate diploma whose grades in biology and chemistry, physics, or mathematics reflect the ordinary level are obliged to sit down to the entrance examination in the English language in two subject areas at the advanced level, namely: biology and chemistry, where the examination is prepared by the University (the examination comprises a written section and a qualification interview).
Candidates holding the international high school diploma (the ‘IB’) and those holding the European Baccalaureate diploma (the ‘EB’) who apply for admission to the field of pharmacy are obliged to have passed their matriculation examination in chemistry, advanced level (HL), and one of the following courses of their choice: biology, physics, or mathematics, also at the advanced level (HL); moreover, they are required to take a qualification interview in the English language. Candidates holding the ‘IB’ international high school diploma or the ‘EB’ European Baccalaureate diploma whose grades in biology and chemistry, physics, or mathematics reflect the ordinary level are obliged to sit down to the entrance examination in the English language in two subject areas at the advanced level, namely: biology and chemistry, where the examination is prepared by the University (the examination comprises a written section and a qualification interview).
