The Virtual Open Day (VOD) will take place on April 19th, 2018.

The event is dedicated to these who are not able to visit us during the traditional Open Day or guided tours and it is an ideal way for you to find out more about the Medical University of Gdańsk, its key facilities, range of accommodation, campus, and the area.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the MUG’s (Virtual) Open Day (19.04.2018) – foreign students

1. What is the MUG’s Virtual Open Day (VOD) and for who?

The VOD is addressed to prospective applicants from abroad who are not able to come in person to the MUG’s Open Day or guided tours. There will be two Skype call lines available: Admissions Office and International Relations Office. The event is designed to give an insight into what it’s like to study at the Medical University of Gdańsk.

2. When is the VOD?

The VOD will take place on Thursday, 19 April 2018 at 9:00am-2:00pm CET.

3. How can I participate in the VOD?

In order to participate in the VOD you will have to log into Skype. On the University side, there will be two persons available online to answer your questions. To talk to a person from the Admissions office call username AdmissionMUG and to contact a person from the International Relations office call username InternationalRelationsOfficeMUG.

In order to allow access to as many interested people as possible, in both cases we dedicate around 15 minutes for each call.

Before the call we recommend to visit the Admissions office website and the International Relations office for more information about their activities.

4. Do I need to book?

No, you don’t have to book a call. In case the line is busy, the person on duty will call you back as soon as they finish. Also, you can use a chat room to contact us.

5. Are all the courses presented?

Only courses in English language offered by the MUG will be presented during the call. Before the call, please visit the English Division website and Admissions website for more information.

6. I’m a teacher/higher education (HE) adviser/agent. Can I contact you on behalf of a group of students?

Yes. You are welcome to call us on behalf of a group of perspective candidates.

7. I’m interested in postgraduate study at the University. Can I attend the Virtual Open Day or guided tours?

The VOD is designed for prospective undergraduate applicants only. If you’re interested in postgraduate study at the University, please visit the International Ph.D. in Medicine website or the International Ph.D. in Pharmacy website for more information about the courses available. We will be developing our Virtual Open Days over time, so check back for new features.

8. When and where is the MUG’s Open Day taking place?

The next MUG’s Open Day will take place on Friday, 20 April 2018. Information sessions and information stands for each course will be held in two buildings across the city – the Collegium Biomedicum (CBM) building (1, Dębinki street) and in the Faculty of Pharmacy building (107, Hallera ave). General information about the University and sample lectures will be held in the CBM building. Sessions will run between 10:00am and 2:00pm, though the event will open earlier, at 9:00am. Full details will be listed in the programme, which will be available from late March 2018. The MUG’s Open Day is a part of an event “Open Day – Science for Health”, the prophylactic event promoting medical science addressed also to children and young people.

9. I can’t make the VOD. Can I participate at another time?
